While I believe there’s nothing as engrossing as the written word, I do have to admit limitations to what reading someone else’s interpretation of an event can evoke compared to the event itself.
So when I kept reading about Tyler Kolek’s dustup with Shaka Smart in the first half of Marquette’s victory over Villanova, I wanted to re-watch it on its own, without the stress and emotion of the game itself to get in the way.
And boy was I glad I did.
The trust displayed here, in a power dynamic not usually conducive to such pushback, is outstanding.
Again, watch the video and see it for yourself, it’s necessary.
PUJIT3 Bomb
The atmosphere at the Fiserv Forum was electric against Villanova, palpable even to those not fortunate enough to be in the building.
That being said, there’s something special about the angle and volume from the seats themselves, so when I saw this clip of the sequence that led to Justin Lewis’ pull-up 3 in transition, I had to make sure those not on IG (and now Twitter) got a chance to see it.
One more time
And in case you want to re-live that Nova win once more, Marquette’s account had a great recap with an absolutely prescient intro from AD Bill Scholl from a year ago.
