Marquette transfer table

Not all transfers are created equal, as four of these players never made it to the first day of fall classes. So while the “transfer” label may not exactly fit, they still make it into our table of players to leave Buzz Williams and Marquette. (We also didn’t include Juan Anderson and Jake Thomas as they rescinded their transfer request.)

Jamal Ferguson- Sophomore G 6-2 NC Central

2012-13: Averaged 1.1 points and 0.6 rebounds in 4.6 minutes making 14 appearances. Transferred to North Carolina Central.

T.J. Taylor- Sophomore G 6-3 North Texas

2012-13: Sat out as transfer to North Texas (Former assistant Tony Bennett head coach).
2011-12: Transfers from Oklahoma to Paris Junior College then Marquette. 

Aaron Durley- Freshman 6-10 TCU

2012-13: Released from NLI at MU and then transferred to Texas Christian (TCU). Redshirted the season after suffering a major knee injury in preseason.

Jamail Jones- Junior 6-6 Florida Gulf Coast

2012-13: Sat out as transfer at Florida Gulf Coast.
2011-12: 28 appearances for MU (1.6 pts, 1.3 reb, 8.5 min)
2010-11: 18 appearances for MU (1.5 pts, 1.2 reb, 6.1 min)

Reggie Smith- Junior 6-0 Eastern Illinois

2012-13: Sat out as transfer at Eastern Illinois.
2011-12: Averaged 2.5 points and 0.9 assists in 6.1 minutes per game for UNLV in 20 games.
2010-11: Averaged 1.4 points and 1.6 assists in 9.9 minutes before transferring to UNLV midseason.

Erik Williams- Senior 6-7 F Unknown

2012-13: Taken off Sam Houston roster after two games and going 6-for-27 and taking 21 3s.
2011-12: Sat out as transfer to Sam Houston State
2010-11: 24 appearances for MU (2.2 pts, 1.6 reb, 7.0 min)
2009-10: 19 appearances for MU (1.2 pts, 1.4 reb, 5.8 min)

D.J. Newbill- Junior 6-4 G Penn State

2012-13: Averaged 16.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 36.5 minutes.
2011-12: Sat out after transferring to Penn State.
2010-11: MU withdraws scholarship. Transfers to Southern Miss.  Averages 9.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in 30.5 minutes.

Brett Roseboro- Senior 6-10 C Maryland- Baltimore County

2012-13: Averages 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 25.7 minutes per game.
2011-12: Sat out after transferring to Maryland-Baltimore County.
2010-11: Averaged 1.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.5 minutes, making 29 appearances.
2009-10: Leaves program after spending summer with MU. Transfers to St. Bonaventure. Averaged 1.5 points and .08 rebounds in 6.7 minutes a game, making 15 appearances.

Youssoupha Mbao- Senior 7-2 C Marshall

2012-13: Averaged 0.3 points, 0.9 rebounds and 5.6 minutes in 13 games.
2011-12: Averaged 0.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 6.5 minutes in 33 games. Made first career FG.
2010-11: Sat out as transfer to Marshall
2009-10: 10 appearances for MU (0.1 pts, 0.7 reb, 6.0 min)

Jeronne Maymon- Senior 6-7 F Tennessee

2012-13: Knee injury forces Tennessee forward Maymon to redshirt
2011-12: Averaged 12.7 points and 8.1 rebounds in 28.1 minutes per game.
2010-11: Averaged 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game after sitting out one semester.
2009-10: Averaged 4.0 points and 4.2 rebounds on 16.3 minutess in 9 games. Transferred to Tennessee midseason.

Liam McMorrow – Website

2012-13: Played four games for NBA D-League team Iowa Energy averaging 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds.
2011-12: Averaged 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds in 30 games.
2010-11: Averaged 2.8 points and 2.9 rebounds in 32 games after transferring to Tennessee Tech.
2009-10: “Medically incapacitated to participate in basketball at the collegiate level.”
2008-09: Sat out as transfer to Marquette

2011-12: Averaged 6.6 points and 5.3 rebounds on 23.5 minutes in 32 games.
2010-11: Averaged 4.6 points and 5.8 rebounds on 23.7 minutes in 35 games.
2009-10: Sat out as transfer to Boston University.
2008-09: Averaged 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 21 appearances.
2007-08: Averaged 0.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game in 14 appearances.
