Not too much of an introduction here, but as it stands Marquette should have three open scholarships for the 2014 class, when Vander Blue, Davante Gardner and Jamil Wilson are set to graduate.
Analysis below comes from minutes of YouTube videos and scouting reports, so take it all with a grain of salt. Listed schools are unofficial, but Marquette is actively pursuing each player below.
There are more names, but these are the ones to know:
— Paul White (6-foot-8 small forward, Whitney Young H.S., Ill.)
ESPN: 4-star, No. 58; Rivals: 4-star, No. 55; Scout: 4-star, No. 29
Listed schools: Arizona, DePaul, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Marquette, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin
Analysis: Linked with Marquette for quite some time // point-forward is an outstanding ball handler for his size, can dribble into the lane and finish at the basket // work-in-progress from the outside, but he’s one of the go-to players on a Whitney Young team that could unseat Simeon as state champions this season // Isaac Chew’s addition to the staff makes this pairing even more relevant // White mentioned Marquette, Arizona and Florida as teams after him hardest

— Ahmed Hill (6-foot-4 shooting guard, Aquinas H.S., Ga.)
ESPN: 4-star, No. 25; Rivals: 4-star, No. 25; Scout: 4-star, No. 26
Listed schools: Alabama, Connecticut, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Marquette, South Carolina, VCU
Analysis: Marquette recently offered // shooting guard who runs the floor well and has an improved outside shot, something he worked on during the offseason // Serious schools on him, will have his choice to stay home or make a splash with a blueblood program // Marquette’s involvement combined with a potential need at the two-guard has them in play for the top-30 guard

— Roger Moute a Bidias (6-foot-7 small forward, Notre Dame Prep, Mass.)
ESPN: Not ranked; Rivals: Not ranked; Scout: Not ranked
Listed schools: Iona, Marquette, Tulsa
Analysis: Milwaukee Bucks’ Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was expected to help in the recruitment of Joel Embiid — who committed to Kansas — but that same connection could be a factor in his younger brother Roger’s decision // only been playing college basketball for three years // offensive game needs work, but the athleticism and bloodlines are there // monster on the boards, calling rebounding “a natural feel” // not close to making a decision, but is certainly one to keep an eye on as his recruitment picks up // likely to reclassify to 2014

— L.J. Peak (6-foot-5 wing, Whitney Young H.S., Ill.)
ESPN: 4-star, No. 34; Rivals: 4-star, No. 64; Scout: 4-star, No. 47
Listed schools: Connecticut, Clemson, Florida State, Georgetown, Marquette, Ohio State, Purdue, Marquette
Analysis: Transferred from a school in South Carolina to Chicago and has helped Whitney Young to an excellent start // scoring ability and tough defense make him a great prospect // excellent in transition, and while he lists Ohio State, Purdue and Florida State as the most heavily involved, Marquette is in on the recruitment, which is a ways off from being decided

Analysis: Terrell jumps out as a Dion Waiters clone in his highlight videos // strong combo guard working to improve his jump shot, Terrell has the makings of a high-major player with plenty of upside // Maryland, Temple and Connecticut seem to be the leaders, based on reports, // said to be looking for a school where coaches have solid relationships with their players and the team plays tough defense….a lot like Marquette

Listed schools: Connecticut, Gonzaga, Indiana, Kentucky, Marquette, Minnesota, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Providence, Seton Hall, Syracuse, UCLA
Analysis: The spotlight is now on Okonoboh, who played last season with current Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel // recently reclassified to the 2014 class, and picked up an offer from Marquette last Friday // shot-blocker is a work in progress offensively but is an athletic post presence // high-major talent

Analysis: Highest-ranked Wisconsin recruit in recent memory // Looney appears on the surface to have his sights set on a top-tiered school // won’t start looking seriously at schools until the spring, so every school is on the table // has taken an unofficial to Marquette, and the recent successes of pulling in-state recruits Duane Wilson, Deonte Burton and even Jameel McKay will help // Looney speaks highly of the top schools on his list // location will not be a factor
