It has been a long wait for Jimmy Butler to get his wish of finding a new home away from Miami, but according to NBA Insider, Shams Charania, Jimmy will be headed to Golden State to join 4 time NBA Champion Steph Curry. It’s not the Marquette Warriors, but Warriors nonetheless!

For all the attention Jimmy draws, good or bad, warranted or unwarranted, he can still play at a high level. On the season, he is averaging 17 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 54% from the field. He will bring his high level defense and basketball IQ to an already championship level culture.

Jimmy’s season high in points came in mid December where he posted 35 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists to earn a triple-double in a loss to the Pistons. The Warriors are on TNT tomorrow night against LeBron James and the Lakers, but it remains to be seen when Jimmy will begin playing for Golden State.
In addition to being traded to the Golden State Warriors, Jimmy has also agreed to a 2 year extension worth $121 Million.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper Update
Elsewhere, Olivier-Maxence Prosper has seen an uptick in playing time. The Dallas Mavericks have dealt with a handful of injuries/illnesses as well as a trade that shook up their rotation and OMax has taken advantage of the opportunity. On January 27th, OMax scored 20 points and added 5 rebounds in a win against the Washington Wizards.

Then 6 days later, he got a start against the Cleveland Cavaliers where he played 31 minutes. He scored 10 points while adding 6 rebounds and 4 assists in a losing effort.
OMax is still just 22 years old and has already had his $3,007,080 third-year rookie option exercised by the Mavericks for next season.

Oso Ighodaro Update
Unfortunately Oso Ighodaro has seen his minutes all but vanish after the Phoenix Suns traded for Center Nick Richards. Oso has played 39 games in his 1st season of NBA action getting 2 starts.
