With the NBA Draft week finally here, wanted to do one quick recap of what we can expect from Marquette’s stalwarts, Tyler Kolek and Oso Ighodaro.
Tyler Kolek

The All-American point guard’s draft process has been extremely positive over the last 2.5 months, maintaining a mid-to-late first round projection over most outlets in that time frame, ranking as high as 21 in The Ringer’s Big Board, with only 1 2nd round grade from On 3.

My favorite piece of content to far, and maybe one of the best I’ve ever seen on Tyler, is his video breakdown with The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie. They go through multiple types of plays and talk about how Kolek sees the game and what he’s looking to do in various scenarios. It’s over an hour long, but definitely worth your time.
Oso Ighodaro

Oso’s projections have been quite volatile through the process, with the consensus settling around a mid-to-late 2nd round pick. On3’s projection is the highest on him, putting him a few spots ahead of Kolek at 31, while SI puts him near the end of the draft.

Like Kolek, Oso’s incredible ability to read a game was on full display in a pod he went on a few days ago. This is only a few minutes of it, but shows what makes him such a special player.
