Build your best 2000s Marquette team

Yea, I’m about 3 weeks behind peak “pick-your-team” quarantine time killer, but I still haven’t seen a good Marquette related one, so I figured better late than never.

Since I don’t have much personal experience with the world pre-2000s and the game of basketball has changed so much the last 20 years, I decided to just make this using players from the 2000s on.

There were some tough cuts at the bottom (Merritt, Otule, Cordell, Buycks) but that’s the game. And for the purposes of this exercise, I tried to base each player’s “worth” based on their on-court play while at Marquette, not factoring in NBA success or lack thereof.

So without further ado, I’ll give you $15 bucks to spend, let me hear your best team either in the comments or on Twitter using #mubb15. If we get a large enough group, I’ll track down the responses and come up with the collective answer.

    Wade- Butler- Novak- Fischer- Wilson.

    *”Can you spare a dollar?”
I’d take Gardner over Fischer but I couldn’t make it work.
