Possible Marquette infraction believed to be minor

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that Athletic Director Larry Williams “is looking into a possible NCAA rules violation involving the men’s basketball program.”

A source close to the situation has revealed to Paint Touches the possible infraction is recruiting-oriented, and it is not believed to be major.

Williams’ statement noted that Marquette followed protocol upon learning of the matter.  “We are currently conducting a joint review with the NCAA and cannot comment further at this time,” added Williams.

We will continue to update the story as we learn more.
